What gets tested in a school
The biggest item counts come from IT: laptop trolleys, chargers, power boards and extension leads in every classroom and the library. Then there's the staffroom — kettles, microwaves, fridges — plus science labs, manual arts workshops, the hall, the canteen and admin offices.
Every item gets a visual inspection first, then electrical testing suited to the equipment, then a tag showing the test date and when it's next due. Failures are danger-tagged and reported, so nothing unsafe quietly returns to a classroom.
Scheduled around your terms, not ours
Timing is everything in a school. Term breaks, pupil-free days and holiday periods are the natural windows for testing, and we plan visits around your calendar by agreement — booked early enough that you get the dates that suit your site.
Multi-building campuses are normal for us. A building-by-building plan, with access arranged in advance, means the visit runs quickly and nothing gets missed.
Records that stand up to an audit
Your report is emailed with the invoice: every item tested, every result, everything that needs attention. It's the document insurers, auditors and boards ask for.
Recommended retest intervals under AS/NZS 3760 vary by environment — a workshop is different from a library. We'll talk you through what applies to each area and can book your retest in advance so it never slips.
